A Shattering Monday

began my day with a morning wake up at half past 10. i turned and rolled about my bed, half-awaked, until it was 11 -- or is it until my bed sheet gotten completely detached from the matress? i can't so myself. but it sure does feel itchy to lay down on a naked matress. last night was a torment; i was tidying up my room. my room was like sarang tikus for the past week. i was busy arranging things; packing them nicely into a few boxes since i going to leave this room for 4 years. i want to make sure that my things will not be damage and still intact so for 4 years. i want to come back to it after that period of time to have my memories recollected in peace and joy. and i definitely don't want my parents or siblings sniffing around my stuff; so i planned to seal off all my boxes. and keep it airtight too. anyhow, today i have some errands to attend to so i got up my earliest (yerp, this is my earliest. haha)

unikeb, ukm

first off, i went to cimb bank in unikeb ukm to find that the carpark was full. so i drive all around and parked at the linguistic faculty. it was quite a long route to get there, but hey, it did get my car parked at this hour of the day. some trick i learned for being the son of a lecturer in ukm. huhu :). at the bank, i changed some of my scholarship money into a banker's draft. it was for safety purposes. the money was some residue that mara gave us in ringgit malaysia so they can easily exchanged money in exact dollar notes or traveller's check. while i was at it, i did manage to ask the bank clerk some useful information:
.

+ commission charged for transfering money from local bank to foreign bank: RM 30.00
+ commission charged for making a banker's draft: RM 10.00
.

the commission is a flat rate regardless of the amount. and i believe that these rates are only applicable to cimb bank. other you have to check for yourself. after my banker's draft was issued, i sat down to examine it. it was all good, thank god. and owh, i noticed something. today's exchange rate was about 3 and a half. . 3.5629703 to be exact. i am not sure whether that was the clean or tolled rate. anyhow, it got me thinking. why the us dollar is so high? when will we find triumph in this ever so crucial economic war? when we will our country dominate the world's economic? or when will our country can even be a competitor to these giant countries? darn those dollars. it got me burning with spirit to go to the state. i was all pumped. that is all what i am after in the state. i am gonna turn the currency rate all around. ringgit malaysia higher than dollar. higher than yen. heck, higher than all of them. that is one of my major dream. watch out world. hahaha *gelak action kamen*

cimb bank

during the process of making my banker's draft, i asked the clerk at the counter about the atm card. i wanted to activate the Maestro and Cirrus function of my cimb atm card, which means i can use it outside the country. it was an easy procedure. i just have to go to the atm machine and click on some options. insert card > enter pin > other services > atm card > activate oversea function (permanent) and be done with it in less than a minute. it was fast.technology these days. it got me awed. but, when i was down to the last click, the screen paused for a few seconds and projected out "Maaf, urusniaga anda tidak berjaya". puzzled, i went to the inquiry desk. the clerk troubleshooted the problem and figured something out. she had me filled a form. the form was for her to activate my card manually (by the clerk's authority and power. sounds powerful. muahahahaha). while i was at it, she explained what was the problem. it was because i just turned 18 this year. yes, i am already at my legal age of 18 but i wasn't authorised as 18 yet; at least not for the atm machine. darn you big red cimb atm machine! i am already 3 months and 20 days past 18 years old! how dare you say that i am not 18 yet? read my ic number! rawr! *monentary manga berserking moment. hahaha* anyhow, the clerk had my atm card taken care of. problem solved.

cirrus

maestro

now i am off to maybank to turn on the Visa and Plus function of my maybankard. while i was driving out of ukm, i saw some people in robes. owh i remembered, ukm's convocation was around this time of the year. that reminds me of abg din. he offered me to join him taking some convocation shots of the newly grads. it was for fun and experience. but sadly i turned him down. sori la brader din. i got alot of things in hand. mau fly dah ma. btw, abg din was my dslr sifu back during mms week. anyway, while i was leisurely manning the wheels of the green myvi at a junction, suddenly an ambulance came to be in front of me on the road. i notice that the ambulance's light was beaming, but there was no siren (i reckon it was because the surrounding is a university). seems like it was an emergency, so the upcoming cars and the cars in front of it bayed at the side of the road to give way to it. suddenly, a devil inside me started poking. hehehe. at this point, you already know what i was about to do. i followed the ambulance closely behind. since i was driving a small myvi, all the people was like "ah, redha la. myvi je pun" and let me passed. hahaha. it was an exhalirating feeling. it got from the side of the masjid ukm, through the roundabout and off the trafficlight at the main entrance with ease. it was my first ever ambulance tailgating stunt. hahaha. and that was my first traffic sins. hahaha. (fyi, i never hit a red light and i always obey speed limits. thank you. and all because i am a good citizen. peace! ^_^)

maybank seksyen 1, bangi

plus

visa

ambulans :)

then i made my way to maybank in seksyen 1, detoured a bit about my childhood neighbourhood. got to the second bank and activated my atm card. nothing much happened there. came back home, after a meal at sri balang, felt satisfied with what i just did today (ecspecially what i did on the road. hehe) . got to the kitchen and ..... damsyik! the worst had happened. i never saw this coming. owh darn! there was it. my favourite drinking glass was at the sink. and sudah pecah ma! arrrgghhhh! almost all its lip was shattered. dah tableh pakai dah. frustrated, monologuely. i knew i shouldn't had tailgated that ambulance. kan dah kne balas direct. adeyh -_-". hahaha. anyhow, i looked on the brightside (as i always does when i am in a pinch) and there was one. since the glass is already broken, it got me off the urge of missing that glass later in the states. wuhu! no need to say "rindu cawan aku" later. haha. ok, off to do something productive for my preparation to fly. till again.
