Monologue of Winter

alluring and intriguing
a falling white it is
grasping a foreign eyes to hold
snatched into a bliss

but truth be told
none could ever stand to stay
in the dryness of the cold
and the stillness of the paler gray

as my presence shine no sun on you
i shall retreat to a land of vain
returning the sky the color of blue
so you shall breath the sun again

but

allow this blanket of white
to ebb
softly
gently
languidly
almost reluctantly
away into each new breath

just slowly
that even the ticking of a clock seems faster
so slowly
it almost seems like a stillness, or rather
a long stretch of unbudged time
a series of forevers
one after the others

just slowly
melting a flake away
one after another

a furtive egress

then
i shall watch you bloom in Spring
and walk, and ran, and sing, and dance in Summer
but when Fall comes back and fails you
then perhaps,
just perhaps,
perhaps

i will come back to you

and blow the dead leaves away
putting the withering grass to sleep
blanketing the whole world anew
making the world seemingly pure
where there are just false pretenses
of a striking beauty and meaning
yet none to grasp or to hold
the existence of the non-existence

much like the cold
it is there
but it is not

as the perpetual cycle of nature continues
my only wish for you is but one

for you to be in Summer
forever
